The theme for Texture Tuesday this week is Gratitude
Sometimes I get so caught up in what is happening that I need to catch my breath.
This image gives me a feeling of peace and is symbolic to me of a moment of rest.
I've used Kim's Autumn Burst, which has become one of my favorites, and Cream in My Coffee textures here.

Have a delightful week!
Very nice work, Marilyn! I love your gratitude for rest and I love the dynamic texturing of this beautiful image! I love this fern...and the statue!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite too. Can't get enough of using it.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you used the arch in this edit. And the soft green leaves seem to come out of the frame.
wonderful image. Nice use of texture here, too,
ReplyDeletePerfectly done. Yes, having a moment of just peace can be so rewarding.
ReplyDeletea very peaceful image Marilyn, wonderful with the texture, it works really well here.
ReplyDeleteLovely image and texturing! I would be grateful for a moment of rest, too, if I could get one, lol....

ReplyDeleteAren't we all...
ReplyDeletegrateful for a moment of rest.

Thank you.
Wow...this is really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful texture work - just great!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had posted a comment on your photo but there isn't one so guess I didn't. I really like the scene, it gives you the feel of the quiet you speak of and a moment of rest. The lacy fern adds such a nice touch. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your nice comment too.
I think your choice for texture with this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteA very interesting photo! The colors are nice and soothing and I like how I am drawn to what is behind the bushes. It almost feels like I am there.
ReplyDeletethat autumn burst texture fits this photo so well!
ReplyDeleteThe warm tones of the texture add to the feeling of repose and contemplation, as well as lending a lovely contrast to the bright green of the leaves. I like how the statue is a little hidden, as if hiding away from the world for a few moments of personal reflection. The curving lines of the texture you chose also create an illusion of the setting being in a grotto. At least that's how I see it, and I like what I see.
ReplyDeleteAutumn Burst works well there -- seeming to highlight the cherubs head. I love the bright green of the flowers too!
ReplyDeleteA very peaceful image - I love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the texture, but the result is sure lovely. Great image!
