A Moment of Rest

The theme for Texture Tuesday this week is Gratitude
Sometimes I get so caught up in what is happening that I need to catch my breath.
This image gives me a feeling of peace and is symbolic to me of a moment of rest.
I've used Kim's Autumn Burst, which has become one of my favorites, and Cream in My Coffee textures here.

  2. My favourite too. Can't get enough of using it.
I like the way you used the arch in this edit. And the soft green leaves seem to come out of the frame.

  11. Hi Marilyn.
I thought I had posted a comment on your photo but there isn't one so guess I didn't. I really like the scene, it gives you the feel of the quiet you speak of and a moment of rest. The lacy fern adds such a nice touch. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your nice comment too.

  15. The warm tones of the texture add to the feeling of repose and contemplation, as well as lending a lovely contrast to the bright green of the leaves. I like how the statue is a little hidden, as if hiding away from the world for a few moments of personal reflection. The curving lines of the texture you chose also create an illusion of the setting being in a grotto. At least that's how I see it, and I like what I see.

  16. Autumn Burst works well there -- seeming to highlight the cherubs head. I love the bright green of the flowers too!
