Stroke Selection in PS Elements

I've been watching tutorials on PS Elements website.  Sometimes I get so excited over the slightest new trick.
So here are a couple examples, one which expands
the canvas

and one which includes a stroke to give it a frame

I wanted to use medium size for these pictures but part of the photo gets cut off.  Maybe it's because I only have a two column template.  I wonder if there is any way to expand the posting area.........without changing my template.  Seems like I should be able to change some code to do it.

  2. Yes, there is a way to widen the page by changing a number the HTML code. I don't remember exactly what I did, but I just experimented with putting a bigger number in the "width" of the header and the body.

As to your tip re PE, I wonder if I can do that in Photoshop? I'll give it a try... I like it!
