In the Pink

I just love it when I'm looking through a magazine or throwaway and something (usually the colors or patterns) jumps out at me. I'm such a pink and purple nut, so I had to make something with this. It was too beautiful to pass up. Oh yes, and I finally found my big dots and squares stamps I have been looking for everywhere. I wanted cheap foam-mounted that I could throw in water. Making Memories had just the thing and they were inexpensive.

Stay tuned to Seth at The Altered Page. He is producing his third "edition" of The Pulse. He has asked 7 questions of many wonderful artists, and he will publish those answers on his blog. Thank you, Seth, for inviting me to participate. I look forward to the responses from the art world. Should be very interesting, as we have lots of very talented, interesting people responding. What a Fun Day - An Award

Thank you Diane for passing this award on to me. I'm delighted because I definitely am not "blog literate". This blog has been a learning experience for me and one that I have greately enjoyed. So now I get to pass on the award to some bloggers I admire. It's hard to decide which blogs when there is so much talent out there. I chose blogs for excellent writing skills, great art, the willingness to share art and spend time on tutorials adding step by step instructions for us to learn from and the uniqueness. It could be one or all of these reasons. Listed are the blogs I have chosen. Congratulations to all of you and now you get to pass it on. Some pointers on passing it on........ 1. First put the logo on your blog.
2. Link the person who passed the award to you on your blog.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a comment on the blogs of "peeps" you chose, advising them they have won the award. Here are my picks.

Please visit their oustanding blogs and see all the marvelous talent these people have to share.

Drawing Practice

It's been so long since I've drawn. I promise myself I'm going to draw everyday and then what happens? A friend calls for lunch, too many errands. Then I think about all the people who work like I used to, and they get so much more done within the same number of hours. I've become seriously lazy, but I do love it. It's such a treat after working for 45 years. I plan to continue being lazy, but I realize if I don't draw everyday, I lose the skill that I have built.

I loved this white whippet I saw in a magazine. So purely beautiful.

More Drawing Practice

I really like this woman's beautiful hair and the mere suggestion of shoulders.

My favorite coffee mugs and a glass plus the little saucer of supplements. Boy do I need some practice on the eliptical circle and a few other things.......
