Free and Easy

That's what Texture Tuesday is for this week.  And that's a good thing since we had a holiday

week-end and not much time to prepare.

So my dear friends, I'm going to show you some more images I've done with patterns.

Actually I cropped this from the center of my larger image and saved it as a custom pattern.

This one I made from a diamond pattern and the wave filter.

Don't know if I have shown you this.....it's my ginko leaf filled in with a pattern I made from one of my

 watercolors here

I upped the saturation on the pattern.

Let's see what else did I do?  I did a layout with the "kids".

Okay, I promise to prepare something for next week......

Don't forget to stop by Kim's linky party for some fun and beautiful art.

Anna Update

Okay I just got my computer home.  Apple replaced the hard drive -- they were kind enough not to charge me even though I'm a few months out of warranty.  This is because the problem had been ongoing even before the warranty was up.  They had it all documented.  I'm whizzing along, so everything seems to be in order☺☀☺.  Yay!!!
For those of you with Macs, have you ever wondered if Time Machine is really backing up everything?  Well, I have.  I'm here to testify that all has been restored from Time Machine to the new hard drive.  Not a thing missing!!  You know how these things go -- nothing is ever easy.  They tell you that all you need to do is plug in, turn on and then tell it to restore from Time Machine.  For some reason I seemed to be caught in an endless loop that would put me right back at choosing "restore from Time Machine". I called the tech people and they helped me get it up and running just perfectly.  They are truly so customer oriented -- very nice to work with.
Haven't had time to do any photo edits so I decided to do an update on Anna.  She continues to exhibit her real puppyhood!  Can't focus for long and is easily distracted.  I laughingly say that we should named her "ADD-ie" for Attention Deficit Disorder This previous statement is null and void, however,  if she sees the crow sitting on the fountain.  Then she is totally locked in visually!!
She and Ollie play every day like two little kids....
She  also loves playing with toys.  She will take a toy out of the basket and play with it for a few minutes before abandoning it to return to the basket for another toy.  After an hour or so, all the toys are lying in either the family room or our bedroom.  Of course she doesn't put them back.....that's for me, the maid, to do...... right?
Here I caught a couple shots of her pretty little face.

She says "Bye for now, but I'll be back!!"

Anna Sunbathing

Anna says to tell you we're very sorry.  Our computer is misbehaving in a big way!  We are unable to work in Photoshop for the time being.  However, we can visit your blogs and leave comments on your work.  In the meantime, could you bring us some iced tea???  This sun is really warm....... but we like it.
Don't you just love Anna's wonky ears?

Life with Anna

Anna, our new whippet adoptee, has been with us a week now.  She is a few months shy of her second birthday.  The breeder's hobby is coursing (chasing a lure which is a plastic bag on a sort of a conveyor belt).  She was not a good choice for the sport evidently and we were able to adopt her.
It's been many years since I've had a dog this young.  Even though she is "full grown" physically, she is still a puppy mentally.  As someone once said to me, "they don't get the wiggles out until they're three years old".  Anna is no exception.  She has a wonderful curiosity.....she wants to inspect everything.
She is easily distracted by all the new things in her life.  So far she has only had one accident in the house....that was in the kitchen the first day we had her.  Of course, she has us well trained......we let her out quite a bit and she seems to be getting the hang of relieving herself outside.
My husband who has trained sighthounds for years says she needs "shaping".  Just getting her to walk straight and not pull on the lead is the first major shaping she is getting.
The first day I had her to myself my handyman came by to take care of some things in the house and I was a little distracted.  In that time she:
1. Jumped the baby gate
2. Knocked over my coffee on the counter
3. Knocked over my dish with two vitamins in it.  Probably ate the vitamins.
4. Jumped up on Mike's bird cage on the patio.  (She is obsessed with both bird cages, so I can see that's going to be a problem)
5. Jumped over the open dutch door.  In my trying to catch her, I fell and hit my head on the wood siding on the garage.
I can see I'm going to have to crate her when I can't supervise her every move.
Ahh, life with a puppy...............
Getting a decent photo of her is a challenge as she can't be still long enough.
She is so cute and loving, it's hard to get upset with her.  She just needs to grow up a bit.
