Hibiscus

Using my Derwent watercolor pencils, I'm finally venturing out into colors. This was done from a photograph I took.

Marilyn, this is lovely! You've managed to get really bold colours which I completely fail to with colour pencils.

Hi Marilyn
The Hibiscus is lovely - great colours.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving the lovely message. Being rathr nosey I, of course, had a peep at your profile and coincidently my own background is in recruitment and training and clocked up somewhat the same number of years as yourself. I'm fulltime at home now too but it was due to a forced decision in '95 when I became ill with a rare auto immune problem.
This EDM group is great - nice and relaxed or as busy as you want to make it.
It's funny talking to someone from Orange County as we've had The OC on television up to just last week when the current series finished....the climate and the sea side location look wonderful on screen so I hope the reality is as good.
All the best with your drawing
Ger

I like the mix of line work and color. Very nice botanical drawing.
