Stroke Selection in PS Elements

I've been watching tutorials on PS Elements website.  Sometimes I get so excited over the slightest new trick.  

So here are a couple examples, one which expands 

the canvas

and one which includes a stroke to give it a frame

I wanted to use medium size for these pictures but part of the photo gets cut off.  Maybe it's because I only have a two column template.  I wonder if there is any way to expand the posting area.........without changing my template.  Seems like I should be able to change some code to do it.

Chaos Reigns

Chaos definitely has reigned here lately.........
I don't think I've posted this.  It's from an exercise we did in DJ Pettitt's class.  

I've been so busy with flooring guys and painters, I haven't seen my art desk in weeks.  I finally just plugged in my computer so I can communicate with the world.  While the house looks great, I'm missing being online.  I still have carpet left to install which will probably take place first part of June.  

Thought for the Day

Sorry I've been so long posting.  My house is a mess - having new floors put in and I might as well be moving.  I've been packing for what seems like days.  I keep telling myself it will all be done by this time next week and I will feel like I have a new house.

What's for today?  Only some practice shots from my camera.

I've been working on taking pictures indoors with no flash.  Ollie loves to sunbathe in the hall which is dark.  But then there is the sun shining in, so it's not easy to get a good result.  I had several that were so overexposed you could not even see Ollie.  This one is still overexposed and I need to make some more adjustments but....

at least I'm shooting in manual mode which is a big leap for me.
