I've been working on taking pictures indoors with no flash. Ollie loves to sunbathe in the hall which is dark. But then there is the sun shining in, so it's not easy to get a good result. I had several that were so overexposed you could not even see Ollie. This one is still overexposed and I need to make some more adjustments but....
at least I'm shooting in manual mode which is a big leap for me.
Just look at the first shot....

Love the pics. You are doing fine with the manual settings! Isn't it nice to have subjects just yearning to be photographed? I always want to grab a camera when my cats roll over and show their soft tummies in the sunlight.
HUGE SMILE I love the first photo of her! What a perfect pose, really perfect. You should do something special with it, give her wings or something, what an angel
Ollie is so elegant, what a beauty he is. And I am glad you are having fun with your camera... happy springtime to you, roxanne
Hi Marilyn, I think your photos of Ollie are great, especially the one of him on his back! The lighting looks really neat to me in both of them. I wanted to take Susan's class, but felt so overwhelmed in the last PS class that I passed this time. Sorry I haven't been over to visit more often...love your photos!

Marilyn! The second image of Ollie is a keeper for sure!!! I can see it blown up to 4 feet and hung in a gallery some where!
The bottom photo is the winner out of these two. Great pose, but what really makes this photo is the detail that was maintained by using manual controls.
Ollie is just beautiful! Is it a he or a she? Love that 2nd shot!
