It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

I'm finally getting in the holiday mood.  The ladies from my art group hosted a holiday boutique over the week-end.  They had so many beautiful hand-made items….jewelry, gourds, ceramics, painted wall hanging, painted cards, Jacki's paper collage ladies and so much more.  I'm sorry I didn't take pictures.  I was too busy talking!! But if you hop over to this post on Jacki's blog, you'll see all the beautiful work.
We're decorated!  My granddaughter Malia helped me big-time with the tree and all the other decorations.
I played with these images in Lightroom print module to make the layouts….. so much easier than Photoshop.  I understand why Kim loves LR.  I've become a lover as well.
For Texture Tuesday I did a couple versions of holiday images….

and below the vintage sepia montage.  Lightroom let me add these cute black square corners much like the old photo album corner stickers.
Come on over to Kim's party and see what the others have done.  I hope you are all getting in the spirit of the holiday season!

These are really cute Marilyn, love the sepia tone so much. How did you add the little black corners? I will have to check that out in LR, didn't know you could do that. Thanks for the tip, will have to see if I can find it.

Nothing like a holiday boutique to get you in the spirit of Christmas! And it looks like this one was fantastic. The vintage edits are just perfect.

I love the sepia images too. I know in the develop module you can put frames around your pictures but I did not know that the print module had that option. I might have to play..

I have made a couple of collages in LR and the first time I did it it took me *hours*. The second time I did it it took about 45 minutes and most of that was figuring out which order I wanted the images. It was a happy day when I discovered it would not take me hours anymore!

For some reason, I had difficulty getting the comment section to open! I do love the sepia images....definitely adds even more of a vintage feel to those wonderful decorations.

I love the sepia! How did you do those corners? Some sort of preset in Lightroom?

I am not much of a photo shop fan...it is not very user friendly. I love the way your sepia came out.

Hi Marilyn,

My favorite is the vintage sepia montage you created and the cute black square corners are such an added bonus, LoVe it!
I'm sorry I didn't know about the art party, it looks like great fun and it is always good to connect with other creatives.
Merry Christmas!
