Kim Klassen's "Be Still 52" is just starting, and I'm reflecting on stillness, quiet, breathing, meditation. Periodically I sit and just breathe to get centered. I've always loved Buddhas. I think it's the stillness I sense. I have one in my garden…
I did most of my editing in Lightroom before I took it into PS. I used one layer of Kim's "Autumn Burst" at 83% hard light and added text.
This Buddha sat in my mother's garden for many years and now he has adorned my garden for 18 years plus. He seems content to sit quietly. He certainly brings serenity to the garden.
Other Buddhas I love…..

I need a Buddha in my garden! Love your processing!
Beautiful work, Marilyn!
Hi Marilyn, thanks for your visit and comment on my Be Still 52. And yes, I see that we have the same Cherub! That's super.
Your week 1 image ist beautiful!

Neat photograph.
I also do most of my work in Lightroom. I find it gets the job done without loss of quality or resolution.
I also love Buddha figures. We have a very small one on our balcony. They are a great addition in any way. Love your weathered one.
What a beautiful spot in your garden it certainly instills a feeling of tranquility...
I love your processing... makes the image look like something out of a travel brochure! :)
Lovely photo's...I also like love Buddha's and I find them so relaxing...we share Buddha's in our gardens..
Hope you have a lovely "still" week.
I love that your Buddah was once in your mothers garden and yes there is something very peaceful about them.
Marilyn, it's an interesting image. The processing makes it prominent and yet it doesn't disturb its stillness.
The Be Still class sounds so great. Regretting not being able to sign up at this time!
Very nice work and it does seem serene and lovely.
