The way I started this whole art thing was buying rubber stamps (because I thought I could not draw ) thinking I would save so much money on greeting cards. LOL! Well, many thousands of dollars later, I have not saved money, but I have had a lot of fun, and from cards and rubber stamping, I went on to mixed media collage, and from that I went on to actually attempting now to draw. I believe this is what is known as a "run on" sentence...... So it's a good thing.

Marilyn,
Can you explain what encaustic wax is and how it is used? Or refer me to an article somewhere? Your work is great!
Marilyn,
I like the wax work, I like your sketches even better, they just show a little more "you". Just keep drawin' you'll get better. I have been drawing for about a year now, literally never picked up a pencil to draw before that, it is amazing to see how much I have learned in that time, just doing it. I still do a lot of very funky sketches but it is usually when I don't slow down enough to really look and record what I am seeing. Have fun sketching...I will be stopping by.
I love your encaustic was work and the progression in your art to sketching and drawing. I'm going to have to see about that encaustic wax stuff.
