I always enjoy seeing what everyone posts for Photo Art Friday.
Bonnie always encourages the "strange" and abstract. This makes
it interesting......never boring!

Last week the theme was "portrait". This week the theme is "self portrait". I really like what Bonnie did with her self portrait, so I ventured into the "weird".
First the original. Thank goodness I did not delete this. It's really not a great photo but with Photoshop, we can do all kinds of things, right?
I cropped it and did a few variations.....
This next one uses Bonnie's "Backlight" texture and a gradient.
Hopefully you can decipher the screen shot of my
processing below.

super cool images - they turn out very artz and interesting color - totally great -- this I've gotta try on a photo down the road and see what happens -- thanks for the steps..

So fascinating, and so much fun, how we can take a so-so photograph and transform it into something new and intriguing in Photoshop. Your treatment of the original profile has produced effects that look like modern-day cameo pendants. I think the black and white version that looks like a charcoal sketch is my favourite version, though.
Really interesting treatments, Marilyn. I like the last one with its softer tones. Great work!
Very cool effects you used and love the texture choice.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment.
The strip effect is in Pixlr Express, it's really cool and there's lots of different options.

Pretty awesome for a "not so good photograph" and your editing is tantalizing ... Very artsy without losing the beauty of the original. Nice job ...

I can really tell you had so much fun with this, and it is amazing the interesting things you can do with a photo! This last one almost has the effect of a cameo! Great job!
Cool..I do like the original though ;)
I really like the unique way you have altered this, Marilyn. Lovely work!
great! and you did every think I was attempting to do!
Hey Marilyn, thanks for stopping by. So glad you put your adventurous artsy cap on and came up with this great pieces. So much fun to play, isn't it?
some fun effects and happy to meet you!
Very creative. Each edit was so different from the other (I love seeing variations on a theme) My favorite is the B/W version.
So good that you kept the portrait, the results of your photoshop fun are lovely. I really like the last one.
